The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai has reiterated that he is confident terrorists and Bandits in he country are facing their final defeat.
Burutai said this on Wednesday during the commissioning of the remodeled and well furnished Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps (NAIC) Officers Transit Quarters at WU Bassey Barracks Asokoro, Abuja.
According to him, “I am very hopeful that must of the criminal elements or the terrorists as well as bandits that killed people, is just a matter of time they will be brought to book”.
He called on all officers and soldiers to re-invigorate their efforts to ensure the army effectively combat the myriad of current security across the country.
On the accommodation, he said, it is to enhance their productivity going by the resource available to the Nigerian Army.Commenting on the Army Intelligence Corp Buratai said, they are proactive in providing accurate intelligence in support of our ongoing military operations and he charged them to redouble their efforts in that regard.
In his address, Gen. Samuel Adebayo the chief of Army Intelligence thanked Buratai for his immense support to Army Intelligence Corps, saying Buratai foresight directed Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps to take over this gigantic building for accommodation of its officers.
He said, he also approved funds for the remodeling and renovation of the accommodation as well as it furnishing. According to him, “the accommodation which hitherto has 32 plats has been remodeled into 42 plats now plus a guest house and standard two bedroom apartments, stressing that as I stand today I must say that the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps has no accommodation problem in Abuja”.
